It most definitely works , I was a little skeptical but thought at the price it’s worth a shot. The way I have it set up, because space is limited, leaned against a fence it gets sun from around 9:30 AM till around 6 PM. I have a 15 round by 52″ in central Maryland and my water temperature despite temps in the 80s my water temperature is in the low 80s, I’ve even experienced a couple days where the water was just as warm or warmer (low 80s) than the air temp (high 70s). I’ll post pics of my setup with the bypass incase the water gets too hot.. No issues installing.. haven’t had any sun so I cannot day if it will warm up the pool yet.. but I was able to use the connections that came with the panel and make some adaptions with a 2 inch pvc reduced to 1 1/2 inch pvc to fit all of my ex’s is ting pipes… Easy hook with diverter kit. 2 panels and a solar cover. My pool was 59 degrees we had 2 days of 90+ degree weather and the temp went to 74. And ya we were in swimming. So this definitely works. Love these things. I have 5 hooked up to one another and have them set up poolside on the deck of a below ground pool. I opted not to hook into the filtration system and simply hook it up to a submersible pump on a solar panel for power.This allowed the pump to work when these panels were hot and stop when the sun went down.I like my pool a little on the warm side and this along with my cover do a great job of maintaining the temp. Plus. It’s super easy to store for parties or winter.Would recommend this to ANYONE!
